Scapper

Privacy Policy

The short version

What Scapper does

Scapper turns data on web pages you view (lists, tables, and the data behind charts, maps and dashboards) into a spreadsheet file you can save. This is its only purpose.

What Scapper reads on pages, and when

None of this page data is sent to us or anyone else. It stays in your browser's memory and in the files you choose to save.

What we store about you

Problem reports

If you use "Having issues with this site?", Scapper shows you exactly what will be sent before you send it: the site address (without the part after "?", unless you tick to include it), Scapper's version, the name of the data source and the column names and row counts it found, and your note. The values on the page are not included. We only use these reports to fix Scapper and delete them after 180 days.

Payments

Purchases are made through Paddle (paddle.com), our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy. We receive your email, what you bought, and whether the payment, renewal or refund went through.

Who else processes data

We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we never use it for advertising.

Limited Use

Our use of information received from web pages follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Page data is used only for Scapper's single purpose described above. It is never transferred to anyone, used for advertising or sold.
